Well I pulled into Eden in my truck
Got past the flaming sword with a bit of luck
I turned the engine off, the crickets chirped
Whatever presence hovered here, I think was undisturbed
Though God surely knows why I came here
Let Him be the judge of my will
Yeah God only knows that I came here
To harvest the tree of the forbidden fruit
Oh, forbidden fruit I wanna know
Forbidden fruit I've got to know
What God has planned for us.
I made my way towards the geodome
I swam across the river where milk and honey flow
my mouth wide open and my nostrils wide
I breathed in all the sweetness and I drank from the fountain of wine
Then I carried on
A giant hammock spanned beneath the trees
A naked man lay in it, napping peacefully
It could only be one so I knew his name
And I woke him up and said to him "Hey Adam, hide your shame"
For he does not know why I came here
and unsuspecting is his feeble mind
Yeah God only knows that I came here
To harvest the tree of the forbidden fruit
Oh, forbidden fruit I wanna know
Forbidden fruit I've got to know
What God has planned for us
And Adam said to me:
Stranger, you arrived at the right time
Eve went to gather mushrooms, when she's back here we'll get high
Don't worry if there's anything you need
Our food forest is blossoming, we got more than we can eat
And the cats they lick our dishes clean
We wash our skin in the summer rain
The lighting bugs light up at night
The nightingales sing lullabies
The snake checks in to see if we're alright from time to time
Oh, forbidden fruit I wanna know
forbidden fruit I've got to know
What God has planned for us
I stayed at Eden longer than I'd planned
Adam, Eve, the snake and me became the best of friends
My thirst for knowledge vanished in the haze
Of mushroom trips and easy living, simply feeling great
And by the time I had to say good bye
I couldn't quite remember what I was doing here and why
So I drove back home
Outside the gates of Eden life was gray
The misery surrounding me each and every day
And God only knows why it's like this
His answer it better be good
So I'm setting off towards Eden
And I'll harvest the tree of the forbidden fruit
Oh, forbidden fruit I wanna know
Forbiddden fruit I've got to know
What God has planned for us

Muddy Waters

Why do all pretty people always seem to have their heads turned down as if to make sure that the passing of years has not yet taken it's toll on their prettiness?
With their eyes glued to the black surfaces of their little handmirros
Like Narcissus kneeling above the lake
Hypnotized by their own contours
Until they fall
It will swallow you up
It won't spit you back out
It will feed on your soul
It will make you doubt
That there was ever anything here apart from you and your thoughts
So when you swim through the muddy waters down by the ocean floor
I hope that you may see in the distance, there's a lighthouse and so there must be a shore
Why do so many well-fed people wait for the morning paper to fly across their freshly painted garden fences and land on the freshly cut grass before they know?
They're like little buried potatoe heads only looking at the underside of the earth
Their tiny potatoe arms too weak and too fragile to break out of the turf
Afraid to grow
It will swallow you up...

Lithium battery powered phone
You ain't showing me my way back home
Let me get up and off of this bar stool
And chuck you in a high arching curve towards the swimming pool
Lithium battery sunburn light
You ain't gonna lead me through the night
Let me lower you into your grave
My 600W microwave
Does the sound of that sweet, sweet music
Reach your beat-up ears
Until the day that blackout comes
You'll find us sitting here
Singing the same old song
We told you all along
Lithium battery fancy car
You ain't gonna get me very far
Let me put down this monkey shit coffee mug
I'll leave your rubber tires but I'll pull out the plug
Lithium battery six inch screen
You're not showing me anything I haven't seen
Let me get out my platinum dart arrows
You've got some spiderwebs on your face
I'll add some more
Does the sound of that sweet music....
Lithium battery city scooter
You're not making the city life any cooler
Take a ride to the bridge to see the sunset
I'll watch from high above as you sink towards the riverbed

I saw cars filled with concrete
shutting down mainstreet
the redwoods and palmtrees
said nothing but heard me
and footprints and pavement right next to the gutter
where a woman who ate the wrong wildflowers dies
and she mutters her last words to me
she could no longer buy and sell
so she could no longer be
they made me perform an autopsy
I found microplastic particles
in some corner of her chest cavity
No chit-chat on the boulevard
I'm counting the regulars at the bar
the jukebox in the corner is full of rust
we're dancing in yellow hazmat suits
to Ziggy Stardust
I'm drunk from the iodine infused shots
five years sounds like a lot
Staggering home towards the underground blocks
where the tap isn't running
and neither are the clocks
your letter never made it here
the post office is closed this year
I'm going to see my scientist friend
we'll meet by the secret rocket launch pad
for tonight we'll shoot one more out into space
to secure the remains of this human race
Golden records for extra-terrestrial ears
I hope they find them for soon we won't be here to hear
these were our stages
these were our songs
these were the places where humans felt love
for our reckless abandon we now pay the cost
does it comfort you knowing that mabye music isn't lost
